Our Impact

Buc20 Football Camp

The Buc20 Football Camp is one of A Life Worth Giving's signature youth development initiatives, providing young athletes ages 12 to 18 with a unique opportunity to strengthen their athletic abilities while building character, confidence, and leadership skills. Designed to go beyond the game of football, the camp equips participants with the tools needed to succeed both on and off the field.

In June 2026, the camp welcomed more than 135 aspiring athletes who received advanced football instruction and position specific coaching from 10 former National Football League players. Participants also engaged in leadership development sessions, mentorship opportunities, and motivational presentations that encouraged resilience, discipline, teamwork, and academic success.

The success of the Buc20 Football Camp was made possible through the dedication of more than 30 volunteers and the generous support of community partners and sponsors, including Chick fil A, Publix, the National Football League, the Tampa Bay Sports Club, and The Henson Fund. Together, these partnerships created an unforgettable experience that empowered young people, strengthened community connections, and inspired the next generation of leaders both on the field and in life.

Basic Needs Program

At A Life Worth Giving, we believe that meeting basic needs is the first step toward restoring hope and dignity. Through our Basic Needs Program, we distribute between 50 and 100 hygiene kits each week to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or financial hardship throughout our community.

Each kit contains essential personal care items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, and other daily necessities that many people are forced to go without. While these items may seem small, they provide comfort, preserve dignity, and help individuals maintain their health and well being during difficult times.

Our outreach extends beyond the distribution of supplies. Every interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate compassion, build relationships, and connect individuals and families with additional community resources and support services. By addressing immediate basic needs, we help reduce barriers that often prevent individuals from focusing on employment, education, housing, and long term stability.

Each week, our volunteers and community partners work together to ensure that hundreds of our neighbors receive not only essential hygiene products but also encouragement, hope, and the reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Student Resource Program

A Life Worth Giving's Student Resource Program is dedicated to removing financial barriers that prevent students from reaching their full academic potential. By providing essential resources at critical educational milestones, we help students and families focus on learning, achievement, and long-term success.

Pack to the Future

Pack to the Future is the signature initiative of our Student Resource Program, designed to support students as they transition from high school to college. While many students earn admission to college, the cost of preparing for campus life often creates an additional financial burden for low-income families. Pack to the Future helps bridge that gap by providing funding for essential items that students need to begin their college journey with confidence.

Through this initiative, A Life Worth Giving has invested $24,000 to provide key college essentials, including luggage, bedding, dorm supplies, school supplies, technology, storage solutions, and other items that promote a successful transition to postsecondary education. By removing these financial barriers, students are better equipped to focus on their academic goals and thrive during their first year of college.

Moody Elementary School

A Life Worth Giving also partners with Moody Elementary School, a high-needs Title I school in Manatee County, to ensure students begin each school year prepared for success. Through this partnership, we provide school supplies, and other essential classroom materials to 500 students and families, helping offset back-to-school expenses and ensuring every child has the tools needed to learn from the very first day of school.

Whether preparing a child for the first day of elementary school or equipping a first-generation college student for move-in day, the Student Resource Program is committed to removing barriers, expanding opportunities, and investing in educational success at every stage of the student journey.
